Brandon Stratton

PhD Student

Brandon graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Bangor University in 2022, where his final year project investigated the production and subsequent application of ceramic microspheres for the catalysis of a water splitting reaction.

Following this, Brandon joined the NFI in October 2022 as a PhD student funded by Tokamak Energy. Over the duration of his PhD, he will be focussing on a computational study of the isotopologues of lithium hydride through various ab-initio methods, resulting in various atomistic models.

Brandon’s PhD work is supervised by Professor Simon Middleburgh, and Dr Thomas Davis, honorary research fellow at Bangor University.
