The Nuclear Futures Institute would like to extend a warm welcome to our newest honorary academic, Marjorie Bertolus. Marjorie has been awarded the position of Honorary Professor.
Marjorie has been working at the Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives (CEA) since 1999 and has 22 years of experience in the multi-scale modelling and research investigation of nuclear materials.
Her current role is the Research Director of atomic and multi-scale modelling of materials under irradiation for the CEA. She is the co-author of 40 publications in peer-reviewed journals, 3 articles, 3 book chapters, and has co-supervised 8 PhD and 3 post-docs.
Most recently, she was appointed co-editor-in-chief of the Elsevier open access journal “Nuclear Materials and Energy”.
At the European level, she is a member of the management board of the Joint Programme on Nuclear Materials of the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) and is the coordinator of the European project H2020 Euratom INSPYRE – the very same project that brought you the NuFuel conference, delivered by the NFI in 2021.
Once again, we would like to extend a warm welcome to Prof. Bertolus – we are very excited to see what our future collaborations will bring!
