The Nuclear Futures Institute would like to extend our gratitude to Dr Thomas Davis for presenting to us at the NFI student meeting on Friday 2nd of July 2021.
Tom’s presentation discussed various aspects of research in nuclear science, ranging from sodium-cooled fast reactors, ferritic-martensitic steels, atom probe spectroscopy and TEM.
Tom’s areas of expertise include novel nuclear materials, high entropy alloys, AMR fission and fusion technologies. As an Honorary Research Fellow, Tom will lend his expertise to the group.
Tom is a Director of Davis & Musgrove Ltd (www.davismusgrove.com)- a research and development company that supports the development of novel technologies for fusion energy, holds expertise in advanced nuclear energy, and supports the defence industry. He holds a PhD in nuclear materials from the University of Oxford.
Once again, we would like to thank Tom for presenting to our group and we look forward to working closely with him in the future.
