Honorary Appointments
The University has a procedure in place for granting honorary titles to acknowledge an individual’s voluntary and unpaid contribution to a School’s or to the University’s activities. The procedure involves approval by the Senate on the recommendation of a Head of School. Senate meets on four occasions during the year, and nominations can be submitted to each meeting.
Honorary Professor
Nominees should normally be distinguished scholars external to Bangor University, and not former members of staff who have retired.
