The American Ceramic Society, an organisation that strives to advance the understanding of ceramics and other materials, has awarded one of its three 2021 Distinguished Life Membership awards to Professor Bill Lee of the Nuclear Futures Institute.

The Distinguished Life Membership Award is the highest honour that can be granted to members of The American Ceramic Society and is awarded to individuals to recognise their eminent contributions to the field of ceramic arts and sciences.

The awards will be presented in person at the Society’s Annual Honour and Awards banquet which will be held in Columbus, Ohio on October 18th 2021.
